An Open Letter to MrBeast

Dear MrBeast,

My name is Carl Vandine and I am writing this open letter to MrBeast on behalf of the vibrant artistic community in Ashland, Kentucky. This small and passionate Appalachian city, nestled on the banks of the Ohio River, has long been a haven for creative individuals of all stripes. Musicians, painters, and novelists have long called Ashland home, and a few of them have reached national fame. For example Billy Ray Cyrus and the Judds have become household names in American culture through their country music talents. However, we are in dire need of your vision and generosity to help us reach our full creative potential.

Ashland is brimming with talented musicians, visual artists, and filmmakers, but we lack the resources and infrastructure to nurture their talents fully. We need a higher density, walkable neighborhood that offers affordable housing, creative spaces, and opportunities for collaboration. We believe you are the perfect person to bring this vision to life with your most ambitious video yet.

I can picture the title now.

“We Built the Best Art District in Appalachia”

The piece of land in question is a barren plot, located directly on the Ohio River in the eastern side of the city of Ashland. It is currently overgrown and full of dilapidated homes, but I envision a different neighborhood: Beastville.

Beastville

Imagine a vibrant neighborhood in the eastern part of Ashland filled with mid-rise apartment buildings designed specifically for artists, complete with studios, rehearsal spaces, and exhibition galleries. Picture a thriving community hub with theaters showcasing local productions, restaurants serving farm-to-table cuisine, and parks buzzing with outdoor performances and art installations. Imagine offering free housing for a set amount of time to young aspiring artists, giving them the time and space they need to hone their craft, and enticing them to come stay and make Beastville, Kentucky their home.

Your impact would be immeasurable. By investing in Ashland, you would not only transform the lives of countless artists but also revitalize our entire city. You would attract new businesses, boost tourism, and create a ripple effect of economic growth that would benefit everyone.

We understand that this is a bold proposal, but we believe in your passion for helping others and your commitment to making a difference.

We believe that you have the resources to help Ashland reach its full potential.

We implore you, MrBeast, to come to Ashland, Kentucky, and work with us to build a community that celebrates creativity, diversity, and innovation.

Sincerely,

Carl Vandine, A Passionate Citizen of Ashland, Kentucky
